PUPPY HOME SCHOOL

When Should you Begin Puppy Training?
From 8 weeks to around 16 weeks is ideal. Your puppy will be ready to absorb basic lessons and will learn what is and is not acceptable behaviour in your home. As soon as a puppy starts its new life with you and your family, you should begin to set in place the routines and practices that will lead to a satisfying and rewarding relationship between the dog and its human family.

Why Train a Puppy?
Just as a child needs nurturing and careful guidance to become a successful and socially adept adult, so a dog needs your skills and understanding to help it develops into a happy, secure animal.
Early training helps to avoid behaviour problems such as biting, digging, barking & jumping up.

What Does Puppy Training Involve?
Our aim is to make training easy and, very importantly, great fun for the puppy and for all the family. We will guide you through a well-structured programme which introduces health & handling theory as well as practical training exercises specifically designed for puppies.

Where Is Puppy Home-School Held?
Ideally, in your own home with all the family present and participating. Les personally trains his associates and puppy specialists so that they have the wide knowledge and experience to give you and your puppy the best possible start.
For some people who live in rural areas, it is more economically viable to bring the puppy to us. In such cases, we can keep costs to a minimum and take you through the programme in our premises.
